I am a part of this production because:
I believe in vaginas and I believe in creating safe spaces for us to talk about them using our own words.
Why is an APA focused production of the Vagina Monologues important and relevant?
Asian American womyn and their vaginas have been marginalized, fetishized and stereotyped to exhaustion and it is damn time we break out of the molds that other people have set for us, stand up and say, "OH HELL NO!"
Anything else you would like to say?
I dedicate the hours I've worked on this production to my mother and aunts, and to anyone out there who believes that being born with a vagina means being "less" of everything to everyone, for the rest of you life. It's not and we won't let it be!
